ID demon question

It says it determines the name and number.

1) Is the name like the type? Genus/species? Or is it the true name of the demon?

2) It says number. Are demons ranked in power and its that number? Or does that mean its link number that you have to destroy to banish it?

3) do you have to hit the demon with a spell packet?

The skill say name or number. It gives you a name of the demon, not it's true name. The number is it's classification. The more information you have on a demon, the easier it is to confront. It is suspected that the same demon may have given multiple names, thus demons are all given numbers. For research and classification purposes. That number is definitely not the link number.

No, you do not hit it with a packet. But it was intended as an observation/RP skill.
