Do you make any case by case exceptions?

I ask because I have a 44" Sword that has a hand and a half handle, clearly intended to be a bastard weapon, but your lengths are 46+, I was wondering if I would be able to use it as a "large" weapon as opposed to a medium one.

How strict are the weapon lengths? Empty Weapon lengths

At Beyond the Veil, our weapon rules are very strict. But there is a ruling that allows a weapon to be used one sphere size if it's length and design are similar to a weapon of the larger sphere. Such as in your case there. All weapons excused in this fashion must be Staff approved at weapons check-in. So be sure to let the marshal know of your intent.

I am looking at some really appropriate daggers for my character and they are 20 inches long as opposed to 18.

Is there any chance we can get small weapon lengths raised to 20 inches to coincide with some lengths on latex weapon sites?

I really dont think the 2 inches breaks any game balance but I dont want to drop 50 bucks on a dagger if I cant use it since I dont go to any other game.

No, we cannot. What we can do is add a +/- rule to compensate for variances in Latex construction.

This will need to be discussed and numbers crunched, but I will allow a +/- 2" inch rule for Small Weapons only for this event. And I will grandfather that into our decision if we change the rule later.

Boffers will still have to adhere to the numbers listed.

Too risky to purchase, but thank you anyway.

Trying to find something elvish and the best bet I ran into was this

    http://www.larping.org/larp-shop/larp-daggers/lorian-larp-dagger/

Pretty sure it has a longer handle than most so I dont think the extra length is in the blade.

Ill just go with something else though because its a 56 dollar dagger and if its grandfathered for this event but the over all decision is no for future events I have nothing I can do with this dagger.

Grandfathered mean if it passes now, any further decisions won't affect it's ability to be uses. Otherwise it's just a one time exception. We wouldn't pull the rug out from under anyone like that.
