A Few Simple Rules Empty A Few Simple Rules

Post by Admin Mon Aug 19, 2013 9:47 pm

Welcome to Beyond the Veil. Please feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions, or leave comments. We want you to feel at home here but we do have a couple of rules that need to be followed.

    1. Remember the Spirit of the Game. This is the biggest rule in Beyond the Veil. This is a game. It is supposed to be fun. Make sure that all you do is in the spirit of fun, for you and for the other players.
    2. Mind your manners. Language, name calling, & other inappropriate comments will not be tolerated. This is an 18 and older game but there are still line that should not be crossed. You're all adults. You know where the line is. Don't cross it.
    3. Be productive. Make every thing you do benefit the game. Make your criticism  constructive. We are a community; your LARP community. Make it a great one.

Follow these rules & everyone will have a great time here at Beyond the Veil.

    Thank You

As a bit of constructive criticism, please be mindful of differentiating between your usage of the semicolon and colon. For instance, in rule 3, the sentence " We are a community; your LARP community" should use a colon, not a semicolon. The phrase "your LARP community" is simply a phrase, emphasized by the subject "community". Hence a colon would be the correct punctuation.
A second option would be to modify the predicate phrase into a complete sentence, for instance "we are your LARP community". This would make the usage of the semicolon present correct.

I presume this is what was intended by your request for productive constructive criticism...?

(I really need to get back to work...)
